Role

We are seeking a Trusts and Relationships Fundraiser to join our small but successful fundraising team. Due to our charity’s growth, we are seeking this new team member to support our existing portfolio of trusts and to help us grow income by developing new relationships.

This new post will support the effective delivery of Scottish Families’ Fundraising Strategy. The role is primarily focused on income generation through trust applications and developing, managing and sustaining funder relationships.

The post is located at Edward House, Glasgow G2 3EX, with staff currently working between home and office. It is expected that the post holder will be required to work occasional evenings and weekends. This post will be part of Scottish Families’ staff team and be supervised by the Fundraising Manager.

The post-holder will be responsible for leading on writing and submitting applications to the existing portfolio of trusts and foundations; researching and identifying new opportunities for funding and fundraising; building great relationships with key stakeholders within trusts, foundations and other funders; collaborating across Scottish Families’ teams to maximise funding opportunities and ensure effective reporting of funding received; and identifying opportunities for new relationships and opportunities within corporate and individual givers.

We are seeking applicants who are educated to HNC level, vocational qualification (level 4) or relevant professional qualification; with work experience in fundraising, communications, marketing, sales, or other relevant field. Applicants should have demonstrable experience of writing for an external audience or submitting written applications, and of researching funding or other opportunities, along with knowledge of issues for families affected by substance use.
