About the Role

This exciting opportunity is funded by the Support in the Right Direction (SiRD) project until 2027. You will provide advice, guidance, and information to disabled people and their carers about the benefits of Self-Directed Support (SDS). Your role will involve one-on-one work, talking to small groups about SDS, and attending events to promote SDS through outreach activities. By empowering individuals with knowledge about SDS, you will help them live more independently within their communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personalised advice, guidance, and information on SDS to disabled people and their carers.

• Conduct one-on-one support sessions to address specific needs and questions.

• Help to design and facilitate training.

• Facilitate small group discussions to educate and inform about SDS.

• Participate in outreach work, attending events to promote SDS and engage with the community.
