Fife Women’s Aid are looking to recruit two full-time support workers to join our Women’s Support Team.

As a service, we are expanding our capacity to better meet the needs of women who have experienced domestic abuse. Candidates should have good communication skills and a passion for supporting recovery from domestic abuse.

The successful applicants will have at least SVQ Level III or equivalent level of qualification in health and social care or other relevant subject, or a willingness to work towards a qualification.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a high degree of motivation and have the ability to work on their own as well as part of a team. An ability to cover on-call is an advantage (additional payments are made for this role).

Fife Women’s Aid are looking for a Befriending Coordinator. The postholder will recruit, train and support volunteer befrienders to work with women experiencing domestic abuse to reduce social isolation. They will also build and maintain relationships with the women who use the service as a key part of their role.

Applicants will have at least 2 years’ relevant experience, preferably with experience of training and supporting volunteers. A good understanding of domestic abuse and its effects is important.

Excellent communication skills, an ability to work effectively with a range of multi-agency partners and an ability to travel extensively across Fife is essential for the post.

The successful applicant will have at least SVQ Level III or equivalent level of qualification in social care or other relevant subject, or equivalent experience and willingness to work towards a qualification.

Membership of Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is a requirement of this post.

The successful candidate(s) will have at least 2 years of experience in a role where you have supported vulnerable clients. You will also hold an SVQ 3 Health and Social Care or equivalent or be willing to undertake this upon completion of your probationary period.

After a recent pay review this role now attracts the hourly rate of pay of £15.73 per hour (£28,628.60 per annum) for a 35-hour working week.
