Role

Freelance Trainers to support Health Walk training in High School settings.

Paths for All is a Scottish Charity. We have a clear focus. We want to get Scotland walking: Everyone. Everyday. Everywhere. Our vision is for Scotland to be a walking nation. We want everyone to have the opportunity to be active every day, creating a happier, healthier and greener Scotland.

Paths for All is launching a new Walking for Health programme in high school settings. The aim of the programme is to improve the physical, mental and social health of young people by creating a culture of walking within high schools and doing this in an inclusive and sustainable way. Young people will be trained as Health Walk Leaders and empowered to deliver Health Walk opportunities within their schools.

The Walk Leader training for young people will be a flexible, modular course with around 4 hours of delivery time. This course will be delivered by a range of partner organisations including schools and third sector organisations.

We are looking for experienced freelance trainers who will primarily deliver a train-the-trainer course to upskill professionals working in high schools to deliver the Walk Leader training for their young people.

There may also be some direct delivery for young people who do not have access to a trainer locally. There may also be opportunities to provide additional support to our community of practice through specific networking and CPD days. We anticipate the training will be delivered face-to-face, but some courses may be online.
