We are now recruiting for a full-time Communications Support Worker role. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with relevant skills and experience to join a friendly, hardworking, passionate team keen to make a difference to our communities.

Working across Corra, with the Policy and Communications Team the postholder will deliver communications activity which supports Corra’s communications strategy, including producing social media content, communication packs, newsletters and website content, as well as designing and delivering events. The role will support continuous development of our communications strategies, ensuring our communications are accessible, engaging and have impact, as well as supporting the wider Corra team to implement the communications guide and policies. Duties also include looking after systems and records, and liaise with suppliers including designers, web designers and photographers.

The role will require someone who has experience of producing social media content and copy writing, as well as working or volunteering in a communications role or similar. Excellent interpersonal skills, relationship building and communication skills, a willingness to learn, excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise, and a commitment to Corra’s ‘ways of working’ principles and supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion.

As SCVO’s Policy Assistant, you will have a unique opportunity to gain the skills and experience you’ll need for a policy career in the voluntary sector. SCVO is the membership organisation for the voluntary sector in Scotland and our mission is to champion the role of voluntary sector organisations in building a flourishing society and support them to do work that has a positive impact.

The Challenges Group is a long-standing provider of management and leadership training to a range of audiences globally, including through our strategic partnership with the Chartered Management Institute. We are seeking a Business Development Manager for our Scotland-based Learning & Leadership team. The Learning & Leadership team are responsible for facilitating a range of training delivery to a number of key client groups in Scotland, either within training programmes (such as the award-winning Making Work Work) or as a B2B training offer.

The Business Development Manager will work closely with the Business Development Director and the Senior Manager, Learning & Leadership. There may be opportunities to support other areas of Challenges work on finding enterprising solutions to global challenges, particularly around improving employability and skills and growing businesses in Scotland and in emerging economies.

The successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly in a hybrid pattern based out of the Challenges office in Edinburgh, where we are co-located with a number of social enterprises and social enterprise support agencies. It is a vibrant, dynamic working environment within the My Edinburgh ecosystem dedicated to social change. Some travel, for example to meet clients and develop business relationships, will be required. Challenges works according to an outputs-focused, flexible working model and the successful candidate will be expected to manage their time in accordance with their responsibilities, workload and non-work commitments in a way which supports team collaboration and achievement of common objectives.

Norton Park SCIO is a charity that supports the voluntary sector in Edinburgh to maximise its positive impact.

We provide high-quality, affordable office space, meeting rooms, and conference facilities for charities, and community groups in our historic buildings near Edinburgh's city centre. We also provide operational support to tenant charities based at Norton Park.

Twenty-one charities are based at Norton Park and over one hundred community and voluntary organisations host meetings and events in our conference centre.

Norton Park, a key resource for Edinburgh's community and voluntary sector, is launching an ambitious strategy to enhance services for tenants and community stakeholders.

Development Worker role

To help implement our new strategy, Norton Park SCIO is introducing a Development Worker role. This position will play a key part in creating an inclusive and vibrant community within our historic buildings.

The Development Worker will work closely with colleagues and tenant organisations to establish a programme of activities aimed at promoting learning and knowledge sharing, fostering collaboration, and encouraging social engagement within the community.

This is a part-time position averaging 12 hours per week: we anticipate weekly hours will fluctuate based on workload demands. To accommodate this, we will employ an annualised hours approach. We seek a pro-active, adaptable individual who thrives in a creative role and is willing to work flexibly to meet varying needs.
