Role

We’re looking for a creative and proactive Marketing and Communications Co-ordinator with a flair for social media to join our small, friendly Marketing & Communications team.

Working closely with the Marketing and Communications Manager, you will take the lead on developing and implementing a Social Media Plan aimed at increasing SCMA’s reach and engagement with childminders, parents and our stakeholders - in line with SCMA’s Marketing and Communications Strategy.

The Scottish Childminding Association (SCMA) is the national voice of childminding in Scotland. SCMA is a national Third Sector and membership organisation that promotes childminding as a quality childcare service. Working on behalf of its 2,500 childminder members, SCMA helps to improve the wellbeing and outcomes for Scotland’s children and aims to influence policy to ensure that it is informed by the experiences of childminders. SCMA provides a wide range of support and professional services for members including training and events as well as delivering local services. The successful applicant will be responsible for the design, delivery and monitoring of regular content across our social media channels. We’re looking for someone who can create both the copy and accompanying graphics for social media posts, so design experience is essential as well as being able to tailor style and content to suit different audiences. Regular monitoring and evaluation of social media activity to assess impact is another key aspect of the role.

Previous working experience in Marketing and Communications is preferred as you may also be supporting wider activities as required.
