Relationships Scotland is the largest provider of family and relationship support in the country. We offer relationship counselling, family mediation and child contact centres through a network of 21 Member Services across Scotland. Around 18,000 people receive a face-to-face service each year.

We are looking to appoint a new treasurer to join our Board. The treasurer will be responsible for overseeing financial matters on behalf of our Board and will be responsible for ensuring that the organisation has robust financial processes to ensure it meets its legal and constitutional requirements. While we encourage and welcome applicants of all backgrounds, we are keen to hear from candidates that have experience of charity financial management or are chartered in a suitable accountancy field.

This role would include four board meetings a year (currently a mix of in person and online), along with four online Office Bearer meetings each year, and our AGM.

We want our Board to reflect the diversity of the modern communities we work with, and value the benefits of having different experience and points of view on our Board. We particularly welcome applications from people living with a disability or long-term health condition, LGBTQ+ people, younger people and those from ethnic minority communities.

The Yard is an award-winning charity that runs adventure play services for disabled children, young people and their families in Scotland. Since we opened in 1986, our services have grown significantly, but we will always retain our holistic approach and ethos of child-centred and child-led play services.

Dr Bell’s Family Centre has been supporting families in Leith since 2006 to thrive and feel safe, supported and healthy. We offer a welcoming, safe place where families with young children can get support, advice and encouragement.

This is an exciting time to join the Dr Bell’s team as we expand to meet new challenges. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to work with families with young children living in Leith and partnering organisations, to overcome barriers to accessing services.

You should have some experience in offering holistic family support to families who are experiencing challenging circumstances. This role will work with parents in a one-to-one and group basis, implementing support plans to help parents and children develop the skills needed for good mental health and wellbeing, create positive relationships and provide a nurturing home environment. You should be a self-starter who also works well within a team to deliver great results against our targets.

Location: The post is based at Dr Bell’s Family Centre in Leith, Edinburgh with some home working.

Stepping Stones North Edinburgh is a third sector organisation that supports children and families across North Edinburgh. The overarching aim of Stepping Stonesis to support families to improve their wellbeing, build resilience and reduce the isolation that families can experience.

The role of the Family Wellbeing Practitioner is to build meaningful relationships with families who have a child under 5, offering one to one support through home visiting and outreach. The funded outcomes for the role are that; children will experience the world as safe and secure and that families will feel resilient.
