Role
YMCA Glenrothes provides learning and leisure opportunities as well as accommodation for 58 homeless people each night. The charity is spearheading trauma informed principles for people with housing needs. YMCA Glenrothes is a long-standing partner with the local authority maintaining service level agreements and excellent standards of care.
We now require a new Service Manager who will work within the ethos and aims of YMCA Glenrothes to lead a team providing quality emotional and practical support/guidance to homeless people with the aim of encouraging, and enabling, independent living through a trauma informed lens.
The successful candidate will support the CEO in the strategic leadership, management and planning of the services provided by the YMCA Glenrothes.
If you have
- Management experience of providing support and guidance to vulnerable people
- Management experience of developing and delivering varied programmes which help develop independent living skills
- Experience of working in partnership with external agencies
- Knowledge of support services and homelessness, Voluntary sector and/or social care sector, housing or accommodation experience, Housing Association or Local Authority
- Ability to develop positive working relationships with people both internal and external
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Understanding and working knowledge of housing legislation
You must hold or gain a Practice and a Management qualification within the timescale specified by SSSC.

Are you an experienced project or cultural event manager looking to take on a new challenge and lead the delivery of NYOS's orchestra programmes? Could you deliver unique, relevant and sector-leading programmes that develop the musicianship and skills of young musicians and offer outstanding performance opportunities?
NYOS is currently seeking an Orchestra Projects Manager to join our Ensembles and Engagement Team.
You will be responsible for creating a sense of belonging, creativity and pride within the NYOS community, developing positive relationships with young people and a range of stakeholders while managing a busy portfolio of inspirational orchestra programmes, including NYOS, NYOS Development and NYOS Camerata.
You will ensure robust planning and oversight of all project administration and effective delivery of course content and schedules, act as the key contact for members and parents, freelance staff and artists. You will oversee our audition and recrutiment process, building positive experiences. You will also plan and oversee the delivery of NYOS orchestra and ensemble courses and performances including preparation, stage management, organising recordings, venue liaison, and communicating key information in a timely manner to ensure the smooth delivery of public performances.
