About the Role:

The current Board come from a diverse range of backgrounds, and through their wide-ranging and complimentary skills and life experience, contribute to the strategy and oversight of the charity’s operations. Being a member of the board is a rewarding experience, which can also offer opportunities for personal development and growth outside of the workplace.

To be considered for this role, you should have strong communication, interpersonal and writing skills, coupled with a proactive attitude towards learning and a collaborative spirit. Additionally, strong analytical and problem-solving skills are key.

The Board of Directors meet six times per year, with our meetings being held in person in Edinburgh. It is important that board members allocate sufficient time to read prepared papers and are informed for Board meetings. However, this is not onerous, and the time commitment should be no more than 2-4 hours per month on average.
