An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Scottish Fisheries Museum. With the support of the Headley Trust, we are seeking to appoint a Fleet and Volunteer Co-ordinator to support our volunteering programmes and historic fishing boats.
Without our volunteers, we could not run our museum or operate our historic vessels. We want to develop volunteering throughout the Museum to ensure that existing skills are captured and passed on, to engage more young people, to make the way we operate across the organisation more diverse and inclusive, and to provide stimulating and meaningful experiences for our volunteers and our visitors.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Engagement Team in Scotland. As this post will cover the Highlands of Scotland, ideally you will be based in that region.

Built Environment Forum Scotland (BEFS) seeks to appoint a Net Zero Lead.

About Options Fife Continuing Care
At Aberlour we listen to understand what our young people want and need within our local area. Our Options Fife Continuing Care service in Glenrothes supports young people with learning disabilities and/or autism to live and thrive within the local community.
This service will be home to 4 young people aged 16 plus who will all have their own individual flat. Our rota has been drafted to suit the needs of the young people.
What we are looking for....
We are looking for a full time (37.5 hours, working 3 x 12.5 hour shifts per week) Young People’s Worker to join our team. You will play a fundamental role in our young people’s lives to ensure that they get the best possible experience whilst working towards goals in their care plan. Using a person-centred approach, you will provide enabling support ensuring the highest level of physical and emotional care, supporting our young people in their daily living and within the local community.
If you have an interest in working with young people, we would like to hear from you. Ideally, candidates will have social care experience, understanding of autism, complex needs and disability. You will hold, or be willing to work towards, a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above (for example: SVQ3 Care plus an HNC) together with relevant experience of working with children or young people. You must also be able to demonstrate awareness of the key elements of working with people affected by disability as well as an understanding of, and commitment to, young people’s rights.

What you’ll do
Children and young people deserve to grow up in environments that are safe and equal, and that equip them with the skills, knowledge and attitudes to have healthy, respectful relationships. This role works to influence both the policy that sets the standards for safety and equality in young people’s environments (from schools to youth work and the home) and the practice that delivers it.
This is a wide field but is given focus by our organisational strategy, which currently focuses on the behaviour of men and boys, the need to be inclusive of marginalised voices, and feminist leadership.
The role interacts closely with the Under Pressure Support Officer, which co-ordinates our training for professionals who work with young people, and our Policy Officer, as well as the wider Zero Tolerance team.
What we need
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, in a paid or voluntary capacity, with knowledge and understanding of violence against women and gender equality. You’ll be a skilled communicator with the ability to present complex ideas to a variety of audiences including senior politicians, stakeholders and partners.
