Role
Atrium Homes, based in Kilmarnock, is a Registered Social Landlord and Scottish Charity providing social housing to over 1,200 households; factoring services are provided to Atrium Homes by its subsidiary as well as to over 1,400 owners.
Collectively, the Board is responsible for exercising scrutiny, establishing organisational strategy and objectives and for monitoring operational performance, and we are currently looking to strengthen our overall governance through the appointment of a small number of Board Members.
We are always looking out for new Board members to help us achieve the right mix of skills and experience to match our business needs. Skills and knowledge that we would love to see further represented on our Board just now include an experienced Finance Professional, individuals with experience of Social Housing or of working in the third sector, especially working with vulnerable groups, or a business leader interested in the work of social landlords.
Equally, we are always very keen to attract people who have had experience of our services as customers and who are committed to helping us improve those services.
What is most important to us is that Board members share our core values and objectives, possess an inquiring mind and demonstrate a willingness to challenge.
All positions are voluntary but reasonable expenses to facilitate attendance at meetings will be paid. Induction and further training will also be provided.

Notes:
In the first instance, most successful applicants will join the Board as co-optees, until formal election is confirmed by the Membership at the AGM in August. Board members are expected to attend ten evening meetings in the year plus four quarterly meetings for one chosen sub-committee, and annual planning and review meetings. Board meetings use a virtual arrangement for the majority of the meetings, and we ask Board to meet in person a few times a year at the organisation’s offices in Kilmarnock.

Core Responsibilities:
As part of our newly implemented Frontline Services team, The Services Administrators are responsible for providing front line customer service; responding to enquiries (via telephone, email and reception) in relation to all housing management services including allocations, void management, sustainment and repairs services.
The ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 x SCQF Level 5 or equivalent (including English), customer service experience and good time management and organisational skills.
As part of your professional development, GWHA will support you to complete a relevant Housing Qualification so a willingness to work towards this will be required!

Key Tasks:
- Front-line customer service role, responding to enquiries (via telephone, email and reception) in relation to all housing management services including allocations, void management, sustainment and repairs services.
- Rotating reception role: including welcoming visitors to the office, maintaining diaries and control sheets, including Health & Safety checks and registers; preparing meeting room facilities, and recording and managing the distribution of mail.
- Providing advice and assistance to customers on GWHA services and activities, including liaising with other RSLs and partner agencies as required.
- Supporting service delivery through the administration of policies and procedures, including housing allocations, mutual exchange, rent collection and monitoring, tenancy compliance and sustainment, and repairs recording and reporting.
- Mitigating complaints through the provision of robust, accurate and prompt advice, information and support.
- Arranging and carrying out house visits/viewings for routine services.
- Maintaining and updating manual and computer records.
- Assisting with the production of publications such as newsletters, invitations and display/information boards for GW events.
- Assisting with the development and delivery of tenancy sustainment and wider role initiatives.

Being a Trustee is both rewarding and challenging! Our Trustees play a key role in making sure that Up2Us stays true to its mission and values by serving the interests of our young people and families to achieve better life chances, better life experiences and better wellbeing.
It is an exciting time to work with Up2Us as we endeavour to expand our free “Time for Change” project which supports young women, caught up in the Criminal Justice System. We also plan to proceed with building a therapeutic centre named by our young people as “The Ace Space,”. The first Trauma Centre in Scotland will combine a full range of therapeutic, life, leisure, learning, and work skills for young people from one central hub.
As a member of the Up2Us Board you will:

- receive reports from the Chief Executive and other staff on Up2Us operations and finances, to inform decision making and make sure that all statutory and legal requirements for Up2Us are met.

Women’s Aid South Lanarkshire & East Renfrewshire (WASLER) is a charity that delivers domestic abuse services to women and children across South Lanarkshire and East Renfrewshire, whilst raising awareness of domestic abuse, and we are currently looking for women to join our Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is responsible for the effective governance and strategic direction of WASLER.
We are looking to appoint a new treasurer to join our Board. The treasurer will be responsible for overseeing financial matters on behalf of our Board and will ensure that the organisation has robust financial processes to meet its legal and constitutional requirements. We are keen to hear from candidates that have experience of charity financial management and/or are chartered in a suitable accountancy field.
