At Scottish Bible Society we share the Bible.

Thanks to the commitment and generosity of our supporters, the Scottish Bible Society (‘SBS’) is a charity that helps individuals and communities in over 200 countries and territories around the world to receive Bibles in a language they understand and in a format they can use. We are creative in supporting churches in Scotland to keep the Bible central and encourage meaningful engagement to deepen encounters with God. The range of projects we either initiate here or support around the world is extensive. Teaching people to read using the Bible, helping to heal the wounds of trauma in Bible-based support groups and ensuring Bibles are kept affordable in rapidly growing churches are just a few examples of transformative projects we support.

We have an exciting opportunity in our Communications Team for an experienced content creator, used to working across digital platforms. This is a busy role in a fast-paced environment, ensuring all web-based and social media content is creative, accurate, on brand, meaningful and compelling. You may be asked to film a reel, write an appeal news report, update a shop image or plan a marketing campaign. It’s all in a day’s work and tomorrow will be different again. If you are a creative communicator and have experience in web-based marketing, journalism, charity communication or similar we’d like to hear from you.

This role requires the post holder to have knowledge and understanding of the church in Scotland who are our primary audience. As such there is an occupational requirement that the post holder is a practising Christian.
