Role

Each year, with the help of around 3,000 volunteers and 230 staff, Bethany Christian Trust helps over 7,000 people throughout Scotland who are homeless or in crisis. We achieve this by providing emergency and supported accommodation, projects and services that help people build resilience to the challenges that often lead to someone becoming homeless.

Our Fundraising Team is looking for a Corporate and Community Fundraising Team Lead who believes in the mission of Bethany Christian Trust and has an exceptional drive for furthering its fundraising efforts and developing its relationships with Churches, schools, organisations and corporate bodies. You will provide leadership and work alongside the Community Fundraising Team who organise events and build relationships with churches and businesses across Scotland to increase awareness of Bethany Christian Trust and raise vital funds for our services. The team is public-facing and spends much time reaching out to people through talks, event participation and community groups. This role is perfect for someone who is outgoing and organised.

You will be part of our large energetic fundraising team and be willing to support colleagues from its different divisions: Individual Giving, Trust and Grants Fundraising, Marketing and Communications. Living our values, you will work with colleagues across the charity to accurately present and promote our work to supporters so that together, we can work towards ending homelessness in Scotland, one person at a time. You will be located in our head office at Bonnington Road in Leith, Edinburgh.

As a Christian organisation, this post carries an Occupational Requirement in line with the Equality Act 2010. Applicants should have and be able to provide evidence of an active Christian faith and commitment.
