Camas is the Iona Community’s outdoor activity centre on Mull. ~We have a strong focus on Building Community and connection; with each other and with our surroundings. Camas is home to a team of staff and volunteers who live down a 2km track welcoming guests to share a simple way of life. The centre is house in 200-year-old cottages which nestle in a beautiful bay on the Ross of Mull. The shore, garden and woodland provide an incredible setting for personal challenge and community Growth
The Camas Activity Worker’s role is to have significant input into the quality assurance and health and safety aspects of the centre’s outdoor activities. This includes significant time delivering outdoor activities including:
·kayaking, coasteering, wild swimming and raft-building
·abseiling
·wild camping and hillwalking
·wide games and indoor team-building activities
A large proportion of the time will be spent leading these activities, while supporting other resident staff and volunteers to contribute fully to the delivery of the activities.
