Initially focussed on bridging the gap between social care and justice services, we have expanded our offering of specialist support not just for young people in conflict with the law but for families as well.

We are recruiting a dynamic and engaging Trainer who will facilitate the learning and development of our employees. Dedicated to fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment, the Trainer will develop and deliver learning initiatives to our staff, stakeholders, and external professionals. Collaborating closely with our L&D Business Partner, they will ensure the workforce possess the necessary skills and capabilities to meet the evolving needs of the organisation. The key responsibilities of the Trainer include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for delivering the full suite of includem’s internal training.

• Design, develop and deliver training material and products for the organisation with the aim of delivering training to external stakeholders.

• In conjunction with the HR Coordinators, schedule and deliver includem’s induction to all new employees.

• Receive and/or prepare materials for training sessions and workshops, including the coordination of pre- and post-work for training sessions.

• Maintain all systems and databases which capture L&D information for employees.

• Assist in the setup of systems and processes to enable L&D initiatives to be effectively implemented.

• Identify organisations and external bodies where there is opportunity to develop and foster partnership working.

• Track and report on all employee training activities.

• Support the L&D Business Partner and HR Manager with the development and implementation of L&D initiatives.

• Ensure evaluation methods and materials are developed, to demonstrate learning is embedded across the organisation.

About You

With previous experience of delivering training, you will be creative with a knack for innovation and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. You will be eager and determined, and continuously seeking opportunities to improve learning initiatives offered to our employees. In addition, you will possess:

• Qualification in relevant social care subject (minimum SVQ Level 3).

• Have, or be willing to work towards, a relevant training qualification.

• Experience of working in the care / charity sector.

• Experience in scoping, developing, and delivering training materials to a wide and varied audience.

• Knowledge of the Scottish Social Service Council (SSSC).

• Excellent problem-solving skills – be solutions driven.
