This Recruitment Advisor is integral to the success of the Enable Recruits team, providing key administrative and coordinative support for Recruitment Consultants and management not limited to:

• Providing first line contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a positive candidate experience
• Supporting the Recruitment Consultants to coordinate recruitment activities such as interview booking and offers, for our Enable Works and Central Service functions
• Tracking, Monitoring and Reporting on key recruitment and retention data

The role is to provide a professional and proactive support service for Recruitment Consultants ensuring that all matters are dealt with in a confidential, professional and efficient manner and in line with safer recruitment guidelines. This post will also support the Recruitment Lead and will look for efficiencies in our systems and processes to continually improve the customer service provided to candidates and local service teams.

Although you will be working as part of a close knit team, you will have the autonomy to work independently on what is an integral role within the organisation with plenty of opportunity for career progression.

About You

Knowledge and Understanding

• Computer literate, with experience of using Microsoft Packages and database systems, including data entry

Skills and Abilities

• Effective organisation skills
• Effective communication skills, both written and oral with attention to detail
• Able to work with conflicting priorities
• Organised methodical approach to work with excellent time management skills
• Ability to handle all matters confidentially
• Team player able to support the team

Experience

• Proven administration experience
• Proven customer service experience
• Experience of undertaking confidential work in a sensitive manner

Desirable Criteria

• Experience of high volume recruitment either within an agency or in-house environment
• Proven track record of handling and organising multiple items with timely completions
• Knowledge of the voluntary sector
• Understanding of safer recruitment guidelines
• HNC in Business Management (or equivalent)
• CIPD Certificate in HR Practice (CHRP)

Compassionate Distress Response Service

Glasgow Association for Mental Health is one of the principal providers of community mental health services in Greater Glasgow. We are commissioned by Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership to deliver a Compassionate Distress Response Service (CDRS) for people in distress who do not require a medical or clinical intervention. We would like to recruit for our Out of Hours Pathway for Emergency Services, First Responders, the Mental Health Assessment Units etc. The OOHs service operates 7 days a week Monday through to Sunday 5pm -2am.

The service operates from our GAMH Head Office, St Andrews by the Green, 33 Turnbull Street, Glasgow G1 5PR

Full Time Equivalent is 37.5 hours per/week: Mon to Sun 5pm – 2am (4 days on

4 days off) 9.38 hours per night).

This post is for 0.5 of 4 days = 2 days on per week

£27,656 per annum (pro rata £13,828 per annum)

Post is up to 31st March 2025 with possible extension.

Key Skills:

Good communication skills to be able to work effectively with referrers and individuals using the service. Compassionate listening, be able to alleviate individual’s feelings of distress. Be highly resourceful in supporting individuals i.e., identifying coping strategies, self-management techniques and onward referral where appropriate. Be confident and competent to apply risk assessment, safety planning, and escalation processes where appropriate. SVQ 3 or equivalent or willingness towards achieving this qualification is essential.

If you would like to get involved in support work but cannot commit to a contract due to other commitments, we also have opportunities for you to complement our existing workers by joining our relief register of bank support workers. The post holder will be responsible for developing and delivering training courses/sessions to enable the EASE Project end users (AFTAR/CAB tenants of five partner Housing Associations, located throughout North Lanarkshire) to empower digitally excluded clients to claim online benefits, grants, offer IT sessions and employability sessions. The post- holder will have responsibility for planning group training sessions as well as one to one coaching sessions for the end users in their own home, or at community based venues or at partners’ premises. Learning will be evaluated through client user surveys and other feedback.

Owing to the flexible delivery nature of this project, a clean current driving licence and use of a car is required for this post.
