What is the role:

NLDF (North Lanarkshire Disability Forum) is a user led charity operating within the heart of North Lanarkshire. We are passionate about supporting individuals and their carers living with long term condition and/or disabilities. Through our projects we offer information and advice on community supports, eligibility for disability benefits as well as form filling support, information on people’s rights and linking people into the right services.

We are part of the commissioned partnership to provide Administration of Engagement and Participation (Supported People) in North Lanarkshire, ensuring meaningful involvement to underrepresented groups. To support this core work we are now looking to add a Financial Administrator.

As Financial Administrator you will be expected to monitor and coordinate the financial duties of our small but successful charity who has experienced exponential growth during 2023. Improving and overseeing the financial business of the charity. Supporting the line manager with monthly and adhoc reporting. Inspecting financial information. As part of this exciting work, we have secured additional funds to offer a Growth Pot fund, this will be a fund available annually for small organisations in NL, access to this will be via an application process, You will be instrumental in the financial implementation of the Growth Pot.

Duties of the role:

  • the collation of financial reports of a variety of funds for which have their own reporting templates.
  • Annual audit and responsible for OSCR update.
  • processing receipts, invoices and sales
  • inspecting financial information and gauging the charities performance
  • preparing and rolling out monthly account payments
  • ensuring the company adheres to industry-specific financial rules and regulations
  • maintaining weekly income and expenditure
  • preparing financial reports to outline company health using balance sheets and income statements
  • overseeing and improving the financial
  • creating monthly budgets for the organisation
  • Contributing to funding applications for the organisation
  • Supporting line manager and other relevant colleagues to prepare and present financial documents.
  • Ensuring multiple funding sources are managed
  • Ensuring the effective implementation of the Growth Pot and related business.
  • Other relevant duties as agreed by line manager
