Role

The Production Coordinator will be responsible for the safe & efficient running of the food production process as well as assisting management to ensure the production is satisfied for each order in order to maximise all labour resources & materials

The successful Production Coordinator will be responsible for driving high standards throughout the manufacturing process to ensure it is ready to be audited at any time.

The role:

  • Support the Production Manager in delivering production goals & objectives whilst maintaining product quality.
  • In conjunction with management identify ways in which any unmet production targets can be achieved in the most cost-effective way
  • In conjunction with management review current production methods, identify how products can be made more efficiently, what elements of the line are reducing the throughput and how this can be overcome, and how new products can be produced
  • Be accountable for the process KPIs & delivery performance
  • Ensure a high level of service to external customers & across their own team & across the business, promoting a positive attitude at all times
  • Monitor product standards and having a sound knowledge of the quality control programmes implemented
  • Be prepared to take on new challenges & adopt any changes
  • Oversee the Stores Department but provide the Stock and Logistics Manager with autonomy to run the department
  • Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed at all times by factory operatives, and any other individual on the factory floor.
  • Ensure adherence of H&S policy and regulations by the whole team as well as any company/departmental guidelines

Key tasks

  • To be responsible for achieving the daily production plans.
  • To be responsible for achieving the daily productivity targets.
  • To be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all equipment and machinery on site.
  • To be responsible for maintaining the highest hygiene and housekeeping standards.

Key Accountabilities:

  • To contribute to a safe working environment exists for all employees in their operation and
  • To ensure standards of quality, food safety, hygiene and housekeeping within the production spaces meets the standards set out in the Group Health & Safety policy.
  • Contribute to the various process within their factory operation to ensure that all trials run successfully and through to product launch.
