Role

Cerebral Palsy Scotland is a charity that improves the lives of children and adults with cerebral palsy through specialist therapy, support and information.

We’re ambitious for people with cerebral palsy. For over 25 years our therapists have worked alongside people/those with cerebral palsy, their families and carers, helping them develop practical skills which transform daily life.

Founded by a group of determined parents whose children were unable to get the specialised therapy they needed close to home, we’re the only cerebral palsy charity in Scotland. As we’ve grown, the cerebral palsy community has continued to be at the heart of everything we do.

We bring people with cerebral palsy and their families together. Our support service offers a listening ear and advice. We share our knowledge and skills through shared working, courses and conferences. We raise awareness and we campaign for life-long access to knowledgeable, compassionate services and support.

Every day in Scotland, people with cerebral palsy are not getting enough support. We need donations to power our work, so that every person with cerebral palsy can reach their full potential.

We’re entering an exciting time with plans to increase our reach further having had a successful 18 months of increased fundraising and engagement. We are recruiting a Relationship Fundraiser who will be part of our future growth and will thrive on being involved in a range of fundraising activities and projects.

The Relationship Fundraiser will be the person who makes sure that everyone who gives to Cerebral Palsy Scotland, attends an event or fundraises for us has a great experience of being involved with the charity and understands the impact of their donations.

You will have the opportunity to join an ambitious organisation and work alongside a highly motivated team. Our recent success resulted in us winning the Best supporter Experience award at the Chartered Institute of Fundraising Scotland Awards in September 2023. As you will be helping support the charity to achieve future success, so we will be committed to supporting you as you develop your fundraising career.

This is a role that would suit someone with fundraising experience or who has transferable skills. We don't expect you to have experience of every part of the role and the person specification has been written to reflect this. This role will particularly suit an individual who has some fundraising experience and is ready to take the next step in their career. It would also suit someone who enjoys building relationships is proactive, organised and are motivated to try new things.

You will be joining a successful and well-established charity as it embarks on our next phase of growth and bring your skills to a truly fantastic cause and a fun, friendly and supportive team environment.

What we offer

  • 25 days annual leave plus 10 bank holidays (pro rata)
  • Employer pension contribution of up to 5%
  • Death in service benefit of four times salary
  • Flexible working
