Role
Maryhill Integration Network (MIN) was established to bring asylum seekers, refugees, migrants and the settled inhabitants of Glasgow together. Since 2001, we have been developing projects which support positive social change by investing in communities and providing a welcoming - and much-needed - safe and inclusive space with opportunities for collaboration and connection. Our main services include a user-led weekly programme of activities, which runs alongside regular learning opportunities, community events, advice clinics and outreach partnership projects coordinated across the city.
About the role:
The role will predominantly feed into the Human Rights & Wellbeing themes within our strategy, with the strategic goals to:
- Provide advice, support and advocacy for asylum seekers and refugees, and promote empowerment through confidence building, learning, skills development, and voluntary opportunities, and to;
- Take measures to combat racism and discrimination regarding race, religion, ethnicity, gender and sexual orientation in order to promote feelings of safety and belonging.
Additional strategic objectives include:
- Providing opportunities for community participation and active citizenship
- Placing service users’ needs at the heart of project development and implementation
- Create an environment in which asylum seekers and refugees feel safe and supported
- Awareness of the pre-migration trauma and poor mental wellbeing associated within the asylum process, when developing projects and activities
- Build capacity in service users to address recovery from poor mental wellbeing
- Encourage wellbeing through the provision of regular access to activities and opportunities in the outdoors
- Maintain and develop strong community partnerships offering referrals and signposting to appropriate agencies to promote better community wellbeing
- Raise awareness on the impact of multiple discriminations, and provide tailored spaces and activities for service users affected by them.
The postholder will be contributing positively to cross-team working within our vibrant organisation, where all ideas are valued, and innovation is encouraged. To oversee all aspects of the Hamilton District Foodbank operation and ensure alignment to the agreed operating model as follows:
- Recruiting volunteers including interviews, reference checks, disclosure checks (as required), and obtaining signed confidentiality / GDPR agreements
- Recruiting and supporting Duty Co-ordinators
- Organising and facilitating volunteer training
- Ensuring that all volunteers adhere to the confidentiality agreement
- Ensuring that the Foodbank meets Health and Safety standards
- Ensuring that the Foodbank meets Environmental Health standards

The Role
Working closely with the branch team of Service Leads, Lead Practitioners and frontline colleagues along with support from the Senior Leadership Team and Business Support Leads you will play a key role in supporting with the delivery and implementation of Cornerstone’s Strategic plan.
The main purpose of your role will be to provide effective leadership to your branch, ensuring it meets organisational Key Performance and quality Indicators. You'll be focused and passionate about the delivery of excellent care in line with us ensuring that we are the expert provider to the people we support. You will always look to maximise local business development opportunities, with key collaborative working partnerships with HSCP’s, housing association and all other MDT’s. In additional you will be first point of contact for referrals and oversee tenancy related matters where appropriate.
What we'll need you to bring:
- Experience of working in health & social care.
- Experience of running a local health & social care business, branch or division.
- An understanding of empowerment and coaching versus management and supervision.
- An understanding of developing an empowered workforce.
- Sound business skills such as planning, tender writing, analysis and reporting, networking and income generation.
- Experience of attracting new customers, securing new contracts and successful bid-writing and presentation.
- Knowledge of the political and strategic environment as it relates to social care.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrable experience of good financial management.
- An understanding of relevant statutory regulations and good practice.
It would be great if you also have;
- SVQ Level 8/9 in a relevant discipline or equivalent management qualification.

With Kids
Our lives are so often shaped by our childhoods.
When problems are bottled up in those important early years, they can grow into mental health issues later in life.
But young children don’t have the language skills to properly express what they’re going through. And often when their emotions do come out they can be loud, or scary or get them into trouble.
That’s where With Kids comes in - a unique children’s mental health charity operating across the central belt at the forefront of the provision of Play Therapy in Scotland
Our trained specialists give children the freedom to express their difficulties on their own terms. Using the one form of communication that comes naturally to them – play.
Play Therapy empowers children to understand themselves better, to process life events, and to build confidence and self-esteem. So they can better regulate their emotions, build stronger relationships with their families and peers, and learn to cope with life’s many challenges.
We work alongside the children from an early age, along with their parents, carers, schools and communities – aiming to build long term, self-supporting networks.
Our priorities are to contribute to addressing cycles of poverty by improving the mental health of children, their families and the wider community.

The role
This new role brings an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and motivated individual with extensive fundraising experience to shape the future of With Kids.
You can expect a supportive management team, who take joint responsibility, while you take on the management of all strands of income generation and fundraising. Through this work
you will be helping to shape the future of With Kids and enabling our staff to provide children and families with a high-quality service.
Are you able to hit the ground running with applications to trusts and foundations, while developing other income generation activities and relationships to build income from corporate bodies, individuals, and communities?
The post-holder has the scope to build our relationships with corporate bodies and increase income from individual and community fundraising activities. The role may also lead on, and provide support to, the Business Development Manager and CEO in tendering opportunities.
Ideally you will be a skilled communicator and have the ability to use digital tools and lead on managing online campaigns for income generation.
It’s not expected that the post holder will necessarily have experience in all of these areas, so there is scope to influence the content of our fundraising strategy and develop new skills.
