Bridges Project - Inspiring young people to build a confident future
Bridges Project is an independent, local charity which works with young people in East Lothian and Midlothian to help them manage the transition from adolescence to young adulthood and life beyond school.
We have a vacancy for a Support Worker (Mental health) to deliver tailored support packages to young people aged 14 to 19 across East Lothian and Midlothian to help them cope with the mental health effects of the covid-19 pandemic. The post holder will provide an effective casework service designed to help young people manage the transition to adult responsibilities by establishing their needs and assisting them to acquire the skills required for managing everyday life.
Please note due to covid-19, this post will most likely start supporting young people remotely and working from home.
It is essential that candidates have a full, clean driving licence and constant use of a car. Membership of the PVG scheme will be an essential requirement of the post. The post is funded by the People’s Postcode Trust. A contributory company pension scheme is offered with a 10% employer contribution.
