Role

CLAN Cancer Support is a well-established, local charity providing emotional and practical support to people affected by cancer, their family, carers and friends. Services are freely offered to all from pre-diagnosis, prehabilitation and diagnosis, through treatment and beyond at 11 support and wellbeing centres located across north-east Scotland, Moray, Orkney and Shetland. Digital innovation developed during the Covid pandemic has extended Clan's reach, offering more services across a broader geographical area than before. The charity’s aim is to help people live with and beyond their or their loved one’s cancer diagnosis and improve the quality of life for all those who turn to the charity for help and support. The organisation has around 60 full-time and part-time employees and contracted staff, supplemented by a significant community of committed and talented volunteers. The Income Generation team are crucial to raising the funds to provide Clan's services. Clan is now offering the opportunity to join that team in one of a number of exciting new roles.

Clan are recruiting for 2 highly driven and proactive relationship builders to take our already high community presence to the next level. Working as part of the Income Generation Team, you will work with a variety of stakeholders to raise awareness and raise money for Clan in our communities. This exciting role will collaborate with a number of stakeholder groups including schools, community groups, business networks, volunteer groups, ambassadors and individuals to achieve our ambitious plans for the coming years. This will be a highly autonomous yet collaborative post where creativity, communication and a drive to deliver incredible results for people effected by cancer are key.

Clan provide cancer support services in the heart of people’s communities where they need and want them most. We are recruiting for one role to cover Aberdeen City and Shire and the other to focus on Moray, Orkney and Shetland and can work from any of our community wellbeing centres.

If you like to laugh and have fun at work whilst knowing your day job is making such an incredible difference, then this is the job for you.
