Are you interested in developing your skills and experience in working therapeutically with young people?
We are looking to build our current pool of Relief Residential Workers to work in our residential service for children and young people based in Fort William. We are looking for individuals who will be playful, warm, accepting, curious and empathetic in their dealings with children, and to bring these qualities to help us achieve our vision, which is to:
Our aim is to create and provide our young people with opportunities to develop and grow within a safe therapeutic environment.
By giving our young people opportunities like this we help build self-esteem and self-worth, giving children and young people the belief that they can achieve and be successful in their future.
Relief Workers play a crucial role in supporting our team. Using a person-centred approach, you will provide enabling support ensuring the highest level of physical, personal, and emotional care to support the families in their daily living and within the local community.
Young people have told us that they like staff who:
“Will keep me safe at night”
“Are confident to have fun and be silly with me – who don’t sit back and just watch”
“Are honest and truthful”
“Like football”
“Like makeup and fashion”
“Want to spend time with me one to one”
