Role
These days Southside Housing Association (SHA) is a complex, community controlled business. We are more than just a housing provider, and our customers rely on us for a variety of services, some that you would not automatically associate with a social housing provider. We also invest millions of pounds every year in modernising and upgrading homes and build 50-100 new homes each year.
We provide specialist advice to hundreds of residents each month on welfare rights,benefits, debt and financial management. We also have a commercial subsidiary company, SFARS Ltd., that provides factoring and property management services to home owners and manages 200+ Mid-Market Rent (MMR) and privately rented
homes.
The Association is now recruiting a number of positions within our Mobile Facilities Team and also our Fixed Site Concierge Team.
This post will report to the Concierge Manager, and will help deliver a comprehensive Estates Management service to the Association’s residents and properties by carrying out a wide range of duties – gardening, common area cleaning,
maintenance, bulk removal, gritting etc.
Previous experience delivering an estate management service within Social Housing or similar is essential.
The post will be based within our concierge sites within the Association’s stock. The
hours are 8.00am to 8.00pm.

Milton Community Garden Manager

The Milton Community Garden Manager will lead the development and delivery of a thriving, community-led garden that improves local health and wellbeing, strengthens community relationships, and increases access to nature. The role will oversee staff, community-led programmes and the garden’s facilities and grounds to ensure the garden supports key outcomes of the National Lottery Community Action Fund.
The postholder will support the garden’s therapeutic, educational and environmental programmes; increase community participation; deliver community meals and activities in collaboration with the Milton Food Hub; and develop the garden as a sustainable asset, including preparing the site for future venue hire and income generation. This is a hands-on role with significant responsibility for operational management, partnership development, and community-led working.
Total of 18 hours per week, at salary £30102 (pro rata £15481) + 25 days Annual Leave & 12 Public Holidays pro rata + 7% pension contribution. Funding is in place until 31 July 2028, subject to annual funding review and required reports.
