We have a fantastic opportunity for an Asset Manager to join our Asset & Property Services Team, which is a new role within the organisation. We are looking for a dynamic, forward looking individual who has excellent management and organisation skills.

Reporting to the Director of Asset & Property Services, you will have a key role in managing our journey to improve service delivery and help develop our asset management strategy. You will lead a pro-active, customer focused Asset Management Team in the planning and delivery of excellent and compliant planned and cyclical programmes, within mixed tenure communities. A key element of the role is tenant safety, ensuring compliance and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Day to day duties will include:

  • Ensure all Planned Investment and relevant Cyclical Maintenance Works Contracts are compliant and effectively managed, from procurement to the completion of the defect liability period, including all contract administration
  • Assist with the development and implementation of the associations Asset Management Strategy
  • Contribute to the budget setting process and ensure budgets are managed responsibly
  • Lead on H&S and Compliance (tenant safety) for the Association
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers to maintain effective working relationships, contributing to LHA’s strategic and business objectives
  • Effectively lead and manage the Asset Team to provide knowledge, customer excellence, professionalism and integrity
  • Contribute to the setting of service standards, key performance indicators and targets for the Asset Team
  • Contribute to the review and development of policy and procedures related to the Asset Management Function
  • Attend meetings, including Board and Committee as required and contribute effectively

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

  • Educated to minimum HND level, in a relevant technical/building discipline or able to demonstrate working at an equivalent level
  • Have a relevant H&S qualification or able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of managing H&S in a Construction environment. If you do not have a H&S qualification you must be willing to undertake one
  • Experience within asset management, property services, factoring or a relevant technical role
  • Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety legislation & tenant safety (Gas, Electrical Safety, Asbestos, Legionella etc.)
  • Significant construction project management experience and evidence of delivering quality projects on time and budget
  • Demonstrable evidence of leading, motivating and developing high performing teams to deliver customer excellence
  • Excellent IT skills and ability to ensure effective use of IT in service delivery and performance
  • Able to demonstrate resilience, commitment, conflict resolution skills, and leadership
  • Access to your own vehicle (insured for business use) and hold a full and current driving licence
