Myeloma UK is a national charity, based in Edinburgh. We are the only organisation in the UK dealing exclusively with the blood cancer myeloma and related conditions. We are dedicated to myeloma patients, their families and carers and understand the complexities and impact that living with a diagnosis of myeloma can have. We continually strive to improve standards of treatment and care through research, education, and training, as well raise awareness of myeloma as the third most common form of blood cancer in the UK.
About the role
We are looking for a highly pro-active individual with proven experience of working in a fundraising grants and trusts role, to join our expanding Philanthropy Team within the wider Income Generation directorate.
You will be responsible for researching and maintaining a pipeline of trust, foundation, and pharmaceutical company prospects, writing cases for support and funding applications, developing and stewarding relationships and will work with a range of stakeholders.
You will work with the Senior Trust & Grants Officer on monitoring and reporting on activity and budgets for trusts, foundations, and pharma companies. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation to ensure coordinated and timely reporting and donor stewardship.
About you
In addition to previous experience in grants and trusts, and knowledge of the current trust and foundation landscape, you will need excellent project managements skills and the ability to respond quickly and flexibly to manage a wide range of work to meet deadlines.
You will have the ability to engage people’s interest and build productive relationships, along with high standards of personal performance. First-class writing, communication and organisational skills are essential for this role.
