Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity is an organisation committed to our vision. We raise funds to help those who tirelessly care for and nurture young lives at their most vulnerable; to invest in equipment, research and continued improvement of facilities and services for children and families in hospital.
Our Fundraising Manager is responsible for developing and implementing fundraising campaigns to grow the charity’s income, and building relationships with supporters.
You will lead the development of fundraising campaigns for some of the charity’s key activities, including:
- Education and youth;
- Running and active events;
- Third party events;
- Challenge events;
- Community collections.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, encouraging team player who can work methodically and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Our ideal candidate will have experience in a fundraising environment, a track record of delivering against ambitious income targets, and excellent relationship management skills.

Your new opportunity
We are currently recruiting a Director of Finance & Corporate Services to join our well-established Executive Team. As a key member of the Executive Team, you will direct Quarriers’ finance, IT and property services. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our £60m budget, including financial reporting and planning, while liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
A key part of the role will include reporting to the Board of Trustees and Chief Executive, offering strategic advice and solutions on all finance and corporate services matters, and to support the Board in the preparation of budgets and financial reports.
This is a full-time permanent role working 35 hours per week in line with our agile working policy, which blends home-working with office time and service visits.
What you will need to bring to the role
- CCAB Qualified Accountant
- Extensive knowledge and experience at a senior level in a complex organisation
- Proven experience of contract negotiation and commercial focus
- Excellent problem solver who is driven by positive outcomes
- Chartered Accountant status or post-graduate management qualification is desirable
- Excellent IT and analytical skills
- Driving licence is essential

About Aberlour Children’s Charity
Aberlour is one of the largest Scottish children’s charities, celebrating 150 years helping to improve the lives of Scotland’s disadvantaged children and young people. What we are looking for....
We are looking for a qualified assessor to support SVQ assessment across the organisation.
We are approved by the SQA to deliver SVQs in Social Services (Children & Young People). To enable assessment in this award you should have a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above along with your assessor award.
Your experience should include working in a relevant care setting, assessment of at least 4 candidates through to completion of their SVQ’s. You must be able to demonstrate that you have experience of planning, preparation, delivery and evaluation of learning activities in a social care setting.
The post is 37.5hrs per week and will require travel across Scotland. Your work base can be flexible, we are able to support a mix of office and home working as required.

First Step is a community-based organisation working directly with families and young children in the early years. We support parents to build confidence, strengthen relationships and create a nurturing environment for their children. Family Group Decision Making is working with family groups in a strengths-based way to support them to create Family Plans, keeping children safe and at home within their family networks.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Family Group Decision Making coordinator. We have funding for a 12-month fixed term post to work alongside the Whole Family Wellbeing Team within Scottish Borders Council supporting families at an earlier stage of intervention.
