GAMH is one of the principal providers of community mental health services in Greater Glasgow. GAMH services support people with mental health problems to recover and lead self-determined and purposeful lives. All GAMH employees benefit from excellent terms and conditions including pay which matches at least the Scottish Living Wage for every role. Our Learning and Development Programme guarantees that staff have continuous training opportunities to ensure that they have all the skills they need for the job, as well as meeting the requirements for SSSC registration
GAMH is commissioned by the Glasgow Carers Partnership to deliver support to carers through our two Carers Centres in the West and South West of the city.
The Carers Centres provide inclusive and holistic support to carers to maintain their quality of life and improve their health and wellbeing through the provision of an Adult Carers Support Plan which is person centred, coordinated, and outcome focussed on the needs of the carer.
Our carer support services promote choice, control and independence, tailoring solutions to carers’ specific needs as far as possible and connecting them with their community.
GAMH, as part of the Glasgow Carers Partnership, works closely with the Social Work Carer Support Teams which are located in each of the 3 sectors of the city to ensure carers can access the right support at the right time in their caring journey from early intervention and diagnosis to crisis and emergencies.
GAMH is looking to appoint a Respitality Development Worker who will work collaboratively across the Glasgow Carers Partnership. The role will be focused on seeking out new links and building on existing links with local and national businesses, who want to contribute to the wider community by providing opportunities and donating gifts for short breaks. This will include the development and marketing of a Short Breaks & Respitality Hub in Glasgow designed to co-produce with carers a wide range of personalised, flexible short breaks which lead to positive outcomes for unpaid carers and their families.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate the values and attitude required to work with unpaid Carers who have complex caring roles which may impact on their own health and wellbeing.
GAMH aims to promote equality of opportunity in service delivery as well as in employment practice. To achieve this, we positively welcome applications from all sections of the community. Accordingly if you have any particular requirements regarding your application please contact Pauline Stewart, Admin Support Tel 0141 552 5592.
