We have an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Project Manager with experience of successfully delivering change projects to join our team on a fixed-term 12-18 month contract. This role can be based in any of our offices across Scotland or as part of our hybrid working model.

Due to the extensive travel required in this role we will need you to have flexibility to travel across Scotland when required.

The role

Cornerstone are delivering digital tools and associated processes to our colleagues to enable them to work more efficiently and improve the quality of the care they provide to the people we support. We already have the digital tools and we’ll be looking to you to lead the project which designs the optimal way for our colleagues to use these tools. As Project Manager, you will implement these best practice processes into our teams through colleague engagement, communication and training.

Reporting to the Director of Delivery, you will lead a small, dedicated project team and tap into the expertise and support of the wider Cornerstone organisation to deliver this strategically important project.

To be successful in this role, you will be;

• An experienced project manager, able to create and maintain cohesive project plans using a project management tool such as MS project or similar to manage tasks, resources, schedules and create reports.
• A skilled communicator, able to negotiate and influence with diplomacy and tact.
• Able to motivate people with your management and leadership abilities, ensuring teams work collaboratively to meet deadlines.
• Knowledgeable about change management practices, and techniques for effective management of change.
• Excellent at planning and organisation, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Committed to professionalism and quality, with a practical, solution-focussed approach.

It would be a benefit if you also have:

• A project management qualification such as Prince2 Practitioner, PMQ, PMP
• An understanding of the social care sector

In this role you will support the Direct Help and Support (DHS) Manager to deliver services and meet the strategic aims of the organisation. You will lead our Children and Young People Service, overseeing a range of projects and service level agreements, supporting neurodivergent children and young people across Scotland, aged up to 25. This includes management of a team of Children and Young People Outreach Specialists. Our highly skilled staff team is neurodiverse, and it is essential that Team Leaders support our team to achieve their full potential.

You may also manage an individual case load, providing 1:1 issue-based advocacy to neurodivergent children and young people. This involves forming meaningful working relationships, creating a plan in partnership with the child or young person to address the issues they are facing and supporting them take part in decisions affecting their lives.

About the role:

We have two sessional work opportunities available to support our:

• North Lanarkshire Learning Project: deliver non formal and formal learning programmes one to one and in small groups in homes and community venues. The time commitment in hours per week will be agreed by negotiation but is likely to be around 18 hours per week, flexibly worked up to 31st March 2024.

• Perth and Kinross Digital Project – support people who are disabled, unpaid carers and others who are digitally excluded to learn relevant digital skills matching their motivation to learn. Operating a drop-in digital support service at community venues for groups and undertaking one to one home visits. The time commitment in hours per week will be agreed by negotiation but is likely to be around 10 hours per week flexibly worked up to 31st March 2024.

The work is mostly in person working in a peripatetic way using local community venues and learner’s own homes to deliver learning.

It is regulated work for which a satisfactory PVG will be required.

About you:

You will be passionate about the transformative power of digital skills, digital confidence, and adult learning. You will be confident in communicating one-to-one and with groups and have a flexible and creative approach to problem-solving.

You will be enthusiastic with good organisational skills and have previous experience of supporting people experiencing a range of barriers to enhance and improve their basic digital skills and cyber safety. You will be capable of working one-to-one with learners, and of tailoring and delivering learning programmes. The role involves travelling throughout the local authority areas to meet one to one and group learner demand.

We are currently looking to recruit support workers to join our small team within Inclusion Alliance. The role involves supporting people with learning disabilities to be included in the community and lead an ordinary life. Your work would involve helping people to access educational, social, leisure and work or volunteering opportunities in the community.

No experience or formal qualifications are necessary for the role although a caring nature, positive attitude and a sense of fun are important characteristics to have. New staff will receive paid training and undertake shadow shifts with experienced staff members during induction. We want new staff to feel ready and able to work prior to working on their own for the first time.

• Working hours are based between the hours of 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday
