We wish to employ a Youth Mental Health Worker to develop and deliver a package of support with a specific focus on youth mental health & emotional well-being through a range of activities such as group work, information sessions, campaigns and other relevant activities during our drop-in sessions.
Using current campaigns, media and youth issues as the platform for initial discussion the group work would involve sessions where the young people identify issues and look at ways of addressing these.
This would be delivered during the drop-in sessions using tools such as arts and social media to form their own campaigns which would be acknowledged through the club and supported by all staff e.g., mental health week, anti-bullying week to name a few suggestions. The campaigns would focus on promoting positive mental health & well-being and promote the already free existing activities available at The Pavillion such as art & crafts, music and cooking as well as shape new activities where gaps exist.
