The Promise Scotland is seeking to appoint a Chief Executive. This is a unique opportunity to lead one of the most challenging and important change programmes underway in Scotland.
You will have a deep respect for the principles which underpinned the Independent Care Review and how the legacy of learning and acting on the experiences of life in / on the edges of Scotland’s ‘care system’, must be honoured.
As an experienced leader, you will understand how to support the Promise Scotland team as they navigate the challenges of complex, wholescale change across legislation, policy, investment, data, practice and culture.
You will have an appreciation of the need for collaborative, multi-agency, cross-sector, sequenced implementation to sustain Scotland’s shared purpose to #KeepThePromise. With skills in developing and maintaining partnerships, you will be able to get alongside a diverse range of individuals and organisations, including children, young people and families. You will be alert to the risks, able to identify and manage issues which may impact on pace and progress towards sustainable change and able to deliver challenging messages when required.
You will be committed to Scotland’s promise being kept by 2030 and determined to use all your skills, knowledge and experience to support this. You will recognise the value of influence and the importance of story-telling. You will be thoughtful, determined, brave and committed with a leadership style characterised by honesty and integrity, and an approach that is flexible and empathetic
