About the role
As our Partner Relations Manager, you will ensure that Sustrans develops and maintains strong relationships with organisations seeking, or in receipt of, funding and support from Places for Everyone (PfE), from pre-application through to project completion and beyond.
You will lead the knowledge sharing, events and training programme, Engage-Inspire-Learn, offered by PFE and ensure the messaging and delivery of this service is in line with, or exceeds best practice, in the development of infrastructure to support walking, wheeling and cycling for everyday journeys across Scotland. You will identify and implement opportunities to showcase the work of PFE and our partners at these knowledge sharing and networking events, both virtually and in person.
Overseeing the pre-application support function, you will work to develop this process with the Heads of Programme, and wider PFE team. You will lead a small team, who advise partners on the potential of their applications, liaising with the Grants team where appropriate.
We offer true hybrid working, a mix of home working and time within our new Hubs in Edinburgh or Glasgow (opens July 2022) with flexible working patterns to suit individual circumstances.
About you
You should have experience of leading, motivating and managing a team.
Building relationships easily, you will be able to nurture and manage internal and external relationships with key people in local authorities, professional bodies and other key stakeholders.
Experience in organising events and developing webinars / workshops is key; you will be a confident facilitator both online and at face to face events. You will lead on implementing a truly hybrid approach for webinars and workshops in the future, making them accessible for all.
We aim to be a truly inclusive employer and welcome applications from people from all parts of the community, in particular from under-represented groups. Sustrans is committed to reducing inequality, valuing diversity and enabling inclusion.
