Role

Reporting to: Head of Counselling and Wellbeing (West Lothian)

Job Purpose: To develop and provide a service to survivors who have experienced childhood abuse

Wellbeing Scotland is a community-based organisation working with impact on Wellbeing from life circumstances comprising a range of specialist services under the Wellbeing Scotland umbrella.

We support people whose wellbeing has been affected by adverse life circumstances. The specialist West Lothian service supports survivors of trauma. The service works in partnership with DASAT domestic abuse service.

We now have a vacancy for a Specialist Trauma Therapist, who must be a qualified and experienced counsellor or psychologist, with additional experience of working with complex trauma. We would welcome a candidate with an (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) EMDR qualification. However, the right candidate could be supported to achieve this qualification if they meet the criteria.
