Do you want to join an organisation who places relationships at the heart of all its decision making?
Do your values drive you to find the things that make a difference for people?
Do you want to work for a charity that changes and saves lives every day?
Does that sound like you? Then your next role can be with Simon Community Scotland as a service leader within our Glasgow Women’s Accommodation Services!
We are currently looking for a Service Lead to join our Parkhead service and be at the forefront of its development and growth.
The role of Service Lead is to create empowering opportunities for women living and working in the service, with an overall goal of building a safe base for women to work out their own pathway to a happy life and into a permanent home when they are ready to move on.
People are at the heart of everything we do. This means you will need to have the qualities to lead a team in supporting people to see their own amazing potential. You’ll need to have energy, compassion, empathy and be trauma skilled in your approach. Making a good cuppa helps too!
We welcome people with a wide range of skills and experiences to our team, particularly if your personal experience provides invaluable additional insight for your colleagues and a credible, empathetic link for the people we support.
To make a difference we need to work flexibly, with everyday leadership, humour and a ‘can do’ spirit. We want to make it easy, make it right, and make it happen – not only for the people we support, but also for each other.
Our #OneTeam ethos is core to who we are, and it means caring for and supporting each other regardless of our role, service or location. This is how we roll.
As an employer, leadership and learning is how we link together with our teams, supporting each other to build strong supportive teams, using reflective and evidence based practices to learn from each other and grow together. This starts with our 5-day induction programme.
As a Service Lead you will nurture and foster supportive relationships with your team, colleagues and our multi agency partners. You must be committed to the supervision and practice development of your team and model a self directed approach to all you do.
Does this still sound like you? Then we want to hear from you today!
