About the Role:
Based in our Inverness office, our Moving On service, aims are to provide 1 to 1 support for young male individuals between the ages of 16-21, who are currently in custody or at risk of going into custody at HMYOI Polmont.
We work with young men to build their self-caring skills from day one, working on making long lasting resilience and self-confidence. The aim of our service is to reduce or stop the risk of repeat offending or offending at all, by supporting the client with their physical, mental & psychological wellbeing. We assess their abilities alongside their health and wellbeing, to allow the help to be provided.
We support all clients receiving safe accommodation, access to working benefits and access to work opportunities, which is where you come in.
The successful candidate will provide holistic and flexible care support to young male offenders. You will be working in the direct aim of reducing the risk of clients offending/re-offending, working in partnership with partner agencies & professionals, to help our Young People gain access to intervention services. 80% of the young men who access our service, don't return to prison.

This role will be a mixture of working from our office (IV1) and working from home in the current covid climate, but this may change as restrictions ease in the future. The pattern of days for 22.2 hours (3 days) can be discussed at interview stage.
