About the Role:
The STAY mentoring service provides intensive support to young people enrolled at college who are at the greatest risk of withdrawal from learning due to circumstances and challenges who may face external situations that may impact on progression.
Our objectives are to assist young people with a successful transition into college, to adapt to college life at enrolment stage and support them throughout their time at college, both within the college environment and within their local community.
STAY project is focused on working alongside Glasgow Colleges (Glasgow Kelvin, Glasgow City, Glasgow Clyde and West College Scotland) to improve retention rates for groups of young people, particularly those in the age 16-26 category and who are vulnerable.
Our mentoring service works alongside the current Student Services provision within the college structure; however, the role will provide additional support both inside and outside the college campus.
