Recovery and Wellbeing Link Worker (Substance Misuse and Mental Health)

Role

Would you like to work with a motivated and well-established team to deliver key interventions in a Criminal Justice context, for those with drug and alcohol issues?

The service

WDP are working in Partnership with P3 who are developing a new Housing first service based in Cheshire East – working with 6 people at any one time. Accommodation will be provided in single self-contained units. We are looking for specialist link workers (seconded roles) as part of this service.

About the role

Experience of working within substance misuse or a related Health and Social Care setting is essential. The successful candidate must be committed, resourceful and highly motivated to engage service users within treatment services and promote recovery through their daily practice. This role will require the post holder to assess the needs of service users, deliver effective interventions, complete detailed reports, and work closely with our clinical team and partner agencies.

An emphatic and non-judgmental approach is imperative, as this role involves working with a wide range of challenging issues and behaviours and many difficult to engage clients. Good time management and team working skills are essential.
