Role

Waverley Care is recruiting a Peer Support Coordinator to join our team in Glasgow.

This new role will coordinate our peer support services, specifically designed for people who use drugs, and who are living with hepatitis C, HIV or both.

You will be responsible for the recruitment, training and supervision of peer support volunteers and workers who will support service users to access BBV testing, treatment and harm reduction advice.

You will also facilitate a new peer support group for people who use drugs who are living with HIV as part of the response to the ongoing HIV outbreak in Glasgow city centre.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of people in our communities. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with a range of service users and stakeholders.

If that sounds like you, then we would love to hear from you. In return we offer a supportive and valuing work environment with encouragement to develop personally and professionally.

Reports to: National Peer Support and Volunteering Lead
