Space & Broomhouse Hub is a Scottish award-nominated charity organisation working to improve the happiness, mood & mental wellbeing of our community members; enhancing physical health, developing skills & job opportunities, whilst growing the confidence of the residents of our area and beyond in South West Edinburgh. In 1991, at a time of depression and recession, community activism and a refusal to accept Broomhouse deserved anything less than other communities – local residents campaigned to turn a row of six shops into one centre. The Broomhouse Centre.
30 years on, and still with local community groups and trustees at the core, Space at the Broomhouse Hub has a new state-of-the-art community building housing a community training café. We have grown and now deliver 17 projects, with 50+ staff and 250 volunteers. We deliver diverse services supporting young people, families, older people and carers amongst others, engaging with local people more than 34,000 times last year.

The Role
We are looking for an experienced administrator to provide administration support to the staff within the newly formed Children and Young People’s Community Mental Health and Wellbeing partnership team.
The post holder will have a range of duties including being the first point of contact for referrals into the service, ensuring all enquiries are handled efficiently and with sensitivity and confidentiality.
The administrator will also be responsible for the coordination of all partnership meetings, including the preparation of all papers and minute taking, so having excellent attention to detail is essential.

The hours for this role can be flexible across the week, however there are some essential weekly meetings and events that the administrator will be required to attend. Further details will be provided at interview stage.
About the Community Mental Health Partnership
The Community Mental Health Partnership has been formed to provide essential support to improve the mental health and wellbeing of 5-24 year old children and young people (26yrs old if they’re care experienced). The South West Edinburgh partnership is made up of four organisations – Space & Broomhouse Hub, Big Hearts Community Trust, SAMH and With Kids.
