Role

Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable young people to realise their potential? Our award-winning charity runs a transformational secondary school mentoring and talent development programme. We support care-experienced and other vulnerable young people experiencing disadvantage to realise their full potential through education.

MCR young people tell their stories far better than us. Hear them in their own words in these short films of young people who have participated in the programme, reflecting on how mentoring has helped them create better futures for themselves:

Bridges That Transform

As we expand our programme into new local authorities and schools around Scotland and the UK, we are looking to appoint an experienced HR Manager.

This is a key role that has been created to further develop the people agenda within this growing organisation at a pivotal time. At MCR, our driving force is simple – that young people who are in, or on the edges of the care system, will have the same educational outcomes, career opportunities and life chances as any other young person.

This is an exciting time to join MCR Pathways and you will have a real opportunity to influence the ongoing development of our current and new people. You will have responsibility for recruitment, onboarding and induction and ongoing training and team development activities.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day people policies and processes are in place, compliant with legal requirements and fully implemented and understood across the organisation.

You’ll be able to evidence that you have significant recent experience in a similar role, ideally for a comparable organisation. You will be able to demonstrate being able to provide sound and practical advice to the leadership team.
