Role
MCR Pathways is a transformational secondary school mentoring and talent development programme. It supports care-experienced and other vulnerable young people experiencing disadvantage to realise their full potential through education.
MCR’s relationship-based mentoring model has evolved into an integrated programme supporting primary school transition and delivering weekly group work in S1 and S2. Young people from S3 upwards are carefully matched with a volunteer, trained mentor to meet one-to-one on a weekly basis. Young people also have the opportunity to access an offer of employment, college and university experiences. MCR’s programme dramatically improves educational achievement, wellbeing and post-school destinations.

MCR Pathways supports over 3,000 young people from across the country. These are really exciting times and we are looking for an exceptional Programme Manager to lead programme implementation and manage our school-based Coordinators across a group of Falkirk schools.
The role will be focused on 3 schools in the Falkirk area and grow to include further schools in the wider Forth Valley region. The role is an exciting and varied one. As part of our Education & Schools team, you will lead the regional team of school Pathways Coordinators and be supported by our Mentor Services, Marketing and Digital teams.
For this role, you’ll need to be relentlessly driven to ensure all care-experienced and disadvantaged young people in the region are supported to find, grow and use their individual talents and that their education, employment choices and life chances outcomes are maximised. You’ll have experience of managing a team, be highly organised and ambitious to ensure all young people in scope have the opportunity to access the YST Falkirk programme.

About the role
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management: Actively participate in the Senior Leadership Team to support the organisation’s objectives and aims. You will provide strategic leadership to the teams, ensuring compliance with legislation and regulatory requirements. About you

Essential qualifications:
- A relevant degree (at least SCQF level 10 or above) or equivalent professional qualification in HR, Finance, ICT or Business Management

Essential experience:

Celtic FC Foundation in partnership with the Fuel Bank Foundation are seeking to recruit an Energy Advisor who will work directly with individuals and families experiencing fuel poverty, providing advice and support to help them manage energy consumption, reduce bills, and access financial assistance.
Working within Celtic FC Foundation, the Energy Advisor will play a crucial role in guiding vulnerable households toward energy efficiency solutions, improving their overall well-being, and helping them navigate challenges related to rising energy costs. The role provides a meaningful opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those affected by fuel poverty, helping them stay warm, safe, and financially secure.
Key accountabilities:
Client Support & Advice
- Offer tailored energy advice to individuals and families on reducing energy consumption and improving household energy efficiency
- Assist clients in understanding their energy bills and suggest ways to switch to more affordable tariffs
- Provide practical tips on managing heating and electricity usage effectively, especially during colder months
Access to Assistance:
- Help clients access fuel bank support, including emergency energy vouchers or fuel top-ups, and advise on other financial aid
- Assist clients in applying for energy-related benefits or charitable funding for essential home repairs related to heating or insulation
Energy Efficiency & Sustainability:
- Offer advice on simple home improvements that can enhance energy efficiency, such as insulation, draught-proofing, and smart meter installation
- Educate clients on renewable energy sources and sustainable practices where appropriate
Collaboration & Outreach:
- Work closely with local authorities, utility companies, housing associations, and community groups to ensure clients receive holistic support

Job Role
Working in pairs and supported by a team of volunteers, our RSVP Street Outreach Team has a 365 day presence across Glasgow City Centre. The team provides practical and emotional support to people who are currently or are at risk of sleeping rough in Glasgow including those who are/have been subject to immigration control. This includes refused asylum seekers, people awaiting settlement under the EUSS, and recently granted refugees.
We support people to access accommodation, engage with health and wellbeing services as well as a wide range of support services.
The team work to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with a range of external partners (local authorities, support providers, emergency services, the home office etc) to ensure the support we provide is co-ordinated and minimises the number of nights an individual sleeps rough.
We adopt a harm reduction approach in our practice and an element of this includes providing harm reduction equipment, advice and Naloxone. Full training is provided.
This service primarily engages with people in Glasgow City Centre, however, we also support people in the South and West of the City. We are supported by our volunteer led StreetCycles Service to engage with and support these individuals.
The 3 teams within RSVP (The Access HUB, Street Outreach Team & Intensive Outreach Support Service) work closely together to provide joined-up, cohesive support for the Individuals we support. These roles require the flexibility to work across all RSVP services if necessary and availability to work shifts 7 days per week, 365 days per year.
These roles also require a level of visibility, promotion of Simon Community Scotland, interaction with members of the public and the ability to walk a number of miles in all weather conditions.

No previous board experience is necessary as full support and training will be provided.
What we do need is someone who is committed to our values and has an understanding of the current issues affecting young people, of high-quality practice approaches as well as the opportunities and challenges of the third sector.
