About this job
We’re recruiting a Press and PR Officer to help us make a real difference to the lives of people affected by MS. The successful candidate will be a motivated and ambitious individual with experience of the media landscape in Scotland and the UK.
This is an exciting, challenging opportunity and ideal for a confident self-starter. You’ll be responsible for promoting the work of the MS Society with a particular emphasis on supporting an awareness raising campaign and fundraising activity.
You’ll also be responsible for managing media enquiries and upholding the reputation of the charity. Other tasks will include helping to develop the MS Society’s First Person Voice programme, maintaining and developing media contacts, creating, monitoring and delivering social media content, pitching real life stories to consumer media, and monitoring and distributing media coverage relating to our work.
As an experienced PR Officer you’ll have a strong contacts book and lots of creative ideas to keep us in the media. You’ll be joining us at an exciting stage of our development and this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a supportive, dynamic and friendly team.
