Capability Scotland is undertaking its largest ever project in Perth to create an exemplary new service called Bertha Park. This project is ambitious and aspirational for our customers and will result in the creation of a sector leading service that will be in the heart of the community.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Co-Production Leader to ensure at each key stage of the project that our customer views, and those of their family, are fully considered and that their best interests are being met. You will take a lead role in the preparation, delivery and oversight of the work keeping our customers at the heart of everything we do.
Key Tasks
Develop an annual Co-production delivery plan to engage with our customers and their families to help them express their views and wishes for the Project.
Develop a Customer Engagement plan and as associated Communication strategy that ensures all customers and families are fully involved and able to contribute to the Project.
Identify appropriate external parties (e.g. advocates) and engage with them to support our customers and their families to meaningfully contribute to the Project.
Produce independent information in a range of accessible forms for Customers and families to ensure they understand the work that is being undertaken and the implications for them.
Conduct events and one-to-one meetings with Customers and their families to engage them with the project work, to understand their priorities, their requirements and the reasons for these.
Will similarly engage with staff groups and individuals to ensure that they have a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the Project with both their views as to what they need and what they think will help the customers.
Capture and summarise the views and wishes expressed in a narrative report and will present their findings to the Project Board and other parties as required.
Throughout the implementation stages, will monitor progress against the agreed plan and ensure that the substantive requirements of the customers and their families and being reflected in practice.
Location – Isla Road, Perth, PH2 7HQ. (With travel to attend meetings in Edinburgh & Central/East Scotland, as required, to meet the needs of the project)
Hours – 37 hours per week, generally Mon-Fri 9am-5pm – (flexible to meet needs of the project)
Experience/qualifications/key skills required
Candidates should be experienced in co-production, project work or alternatively have experience in working with adults with physical and learning disabilities and communication work. You should have strong interpersonal & leadership skills, with the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
