Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Kingdom Support and Care as our Service Coordinator for Kennoway..

Our Kennoway service provides a diverse range of support and care - from adults to older people and from a few hours of support per week to 24/7 care.

As well as supporting four individuals with complex needs in a shared house, we support a number of people in their own homes. We promote independent living through assistance with everyday tasks such as cooking, finance, housework and social activities. We also support individuals with administering medication, emotional support and personal care.

As our Service Coordinator, you will lead a team to provide the best support we can and make a positive difference in people’s lives. You will be the key link between the individuals we support and their families, our Senior Support Workers, Support Workers and health and social care professionals. And you will assist in the development and growth of our services and our dedicated staff team.

Our organisation has a commitment to Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). While knowledge of this person-centred approach would be an advantage, it is not essential as training can be provided by our in-house PBS team.

About you

We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and passionate individual who is solutions focused and capable of anticipating and managing challenges, balancing competing priorities and ensuring we deliver high quality support and care.

An excellent understanding of the ambitions and needs of the individuals we support is essential. You will have a minimum of five years’ experience in care and support, with two of those years at a supervisory level. You will hold an SVQ3 qualification - or above - in health and social care, or a related field, in line with the requirements of the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

You will be able to play your part on our on-call rota and to work flexibly, in line with the needs of our service.
