GAMH is one of the principle providers of community mental health services in Greater Glasgow. GAMH services support people with mental health problems to recover and lead self-determined and purposeful lives. GAMH is looking for an experienced Learning and Development Worker to support our Learning and Development Manager in the development and delivery of courses for external customers and internally for GAMH staff. In consultation with the learning and development manager, key responsibilities will include:
• co-ordination of the mental health strand of training for carers in Glasgow City which GAMH delivers on behalf of Glasgow City HSCP Carers Partnership;
• supporting staff undertaking learning activities including GAMH’s Induction Award at SCQF level 6 (marking submissions, providing feedback, attending related meetings and completing administration systems, as required by our SQA Approved Learning Centre);
• the development and supervision of GAMH Lived Experience Trainers;
• evaluating training programmes and reporting on impact.
The successful candidate will be confident using IT equipment; online communication platforms such as Zoom and TEAMs; and MS Office applications – outlook, word, excel and power point. They will hold a relevant qualification at SCQF level 7 (or above) or have the ability/willingness to work towards this; be able to travel throughout Greater Glasgow and beyond; and be able to commit to some evening and weekend work when required.
