Transition Edinburgh South (Scotland) Ltd. /Gracemount Community Garden

Gracemount Community Garden seeks a socially skilled, environmentally savvy and proactive community organiser to lead the planning and implementation of a new programme of work in collaboration with our Garden Coordinator. The Investing in Communities Fund enables this & 3 part-time posts: food worker, children & young people worker + Mansion Development Trust worker (latter managed by them). This is a unique opportunity to scale up benefits to the community, local partners and stakeholders, volunteers and the environment. Requires attention to the big community picture of programme development + details needed to get things done and to document progress, as required by our funder. A full-time post, but we will consider job-share co-applicants or applicants wishing to work part-time on a particular aspect of the post (please specify your intention clearly your application).

*Location:Combines itinerant outreach working, working from home and weekly work in and from Gracemount Community Garden, the top of Mansionhouse Drive, where we have a portacabin with a toilet but currently no electricity.
