Role

HOPE for Autism is a registered charity providing services for autistic children/young people and their families in North Lanarkshire.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, highly skilled, enthusiastic, compassionate, and experienced individual with a background of working with the Autistic community to take up the role of CEO at HOPE for Autism.

Key responsibilities will include leading on the strategic vision for the charity, working alongside the Board of Directors, the staff team, and all the charities’ stakeholders, to provide opportunities and pathways to reduce social isolation of autistic young people and their families, improve their wellbeing, and increase knowledge, understanding and acceptance of autism within the wider community.

The CEO role will have the responsibility to ensure that Good Autism Practice and Children’s Rights/Human Rights are fully embedded within all the charities’ services and practices. We are seeking an individual with substantial leadership qualities, who’s passionate about putting the needs, and lived experiences of the autistic community and their families, at the heart of everything we do.

Experience working with autistic children and young people or with children/people with additional support needs and their families is essential.

This post involves day and evening working, with some weekend hours (project dependent).
