Role

Work for Scottish Huntington’s Association (SHA) and you will find an ambitious and hard-working organisation that is recognised at national and international levels for its expertise and impact.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Officer to join our small but busy team based at the charity’s National Office in Paisley. Duties include a range of finance-related processing activities such as income, expenditure, expenses, payroll and pension-related tasks.

With at least two years’ experience in a similar role, you will have a good working knowledge of SAGE Accounts, IRIS payroll and Excel or similar financial software packages.

Training and a full induction programme will be provided, and your part-time 22-25 hour weekly working pattern is negotiable. A laptop will be provided to support hybrid working.

This is an exciting opportunity to share your skills and expertise as part of a unique organisation dedicated to transforming the lives of families in communities across Scotland, including carers and young people.

Scottish Huntington’s Association is only charity in Scotland dedicated exclusively to families impacted by Huntington’s disease, a devastating hereditary condition that changes the brain and causes severe physical, mental and cognitive symptoms.

The successful applicant will join us as we prepare to launch our 2023-28 Standing Tall Strategy for Growth to transform the care and support of families impacted by Huntington’s disease.

This follows two years of expansion in specialist teams, increased funding, a rise in media engagement, growth in parliamentary support for our work, and the success of our ground-breaking Dance 100 event in Glasgow.
