Sight Loss Information Lead

Role

We are looking for a motivated individual who is a natural leader and skilled communicator. You will have prior experience of working within a helpline/support line/call centre or similar environment. You will be part of a high performing team which will lead the charity to continued success in meeting the aspirations of those who we support. Your role will involve supporting the creation of the new information service and leading the team to ensure the delivery of high-quality outcomes that make a difference to people’s lives.

You will work with the Information and Support Manager, to lead on the charity’s new Sight Loss Information service which will involve;

Line management of the Information team.

Provision of accessible, tailored and relevant information around sight loss and its impact.

Day to day oversight of the Information Line, including the referral process into Sight Scotland Veterans.

Raising awareness of Sight Scotland Veterans alongside the marketing team

This role will be carried out under our blended homeworking policy. You will work from home and from either Head Office in Edinburgh or the Hawkhead Centre in Paisley. However, remote working will be considered for those located out with these areas.

If you have experience in a relevant field, have clear understanding of sight loss and the challenges people face and feel you have the skills to grow and develop a new service, then we would love to hear from you.
