Healthy Valleys is a community-led organisation committed to providing outstanding local services that help preserve the mental and physical health and wellbeing of individuals, families, and communities living in rural South Lanarkshire.
Due to successfully securing new funding, we have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and passionate Engagement Mechanic for our Active Travel programme who will support the maintenance of our bike and eBike fleet, as well as engage our communities with Active Travel and support them to develop their own skills in this field.
You’ll assess, service, repair, and maintain all types of bikes and eBikes, as well as upcycle bikes for donation. You’ll also help train others in bike maintenance, and support the planning and delivery of Active Travel events and partnerships.
This role is subject to a PVG Disclosure Scotland check, which will be paid by Healthy Valleys.
Due to the requirement to travel around rural communities, the postholder must have a full, clean driving licence, access to their own transport (with appropriate business insurance) and be prepared to drive the Healthy Valleys van.
